| Remarks: | The legendary Spitfire with a Czechoslovak post-war history is returning home after 78 years. Manufactured in 1945, it was assigned to No. 312 (Czechoslovak) Squadron and bore the fuselage codes DU-K. After the war, this aircraft was designated as JT-10, serving with the 2nd Air Division and later with the 4th Air Regiment. This warbird is closely linked to WWII pilot Karel Pošta, who continued to showcase it to the public at post-war airshows. In 1948, it was sold to the newly formed Israeli Air Force, and subsequently traveled through Burma, the USA, and Australia. https://www.tocna.cz/spitfire | |||
